Why Design?

I didn't start out wanting to be a designer. I started out wanting to understand why some things feel effortless and others feel broken.

Growing up, I was the person rearranging furniture, questioning why forms had so many fields, sketching "what if this worked differently?" on anything I could find. That curiosity led me to UPES Dehradun, where I studied Interaction Design — and realised that UX is where empathy meets problem-solving.

My biggest lessons didn't come from a classroom. They came from interviewing 50+ patients for a Canadian medical tech company, leading a 10-member design team at an NGO in Pune, consulting for a 40-person business in Dehradun, designing for travellers who prefer getting lost, and creating a social impact platform for a global gender equality conversation — all before graduating.

I don't just make things look good. I make them work.

"Design is the silent ambassador of your brand, and at Prakria, I learned to make that ambassador speak with authority and grace."

What Drives Me

Empathy First

I talk to real users before I open a tool. Not surveys. Not assumptions. Conversations.

Research Over Opinion

When a client's assumption collides with user research, the research wins. I have the data to back that up.

Business-Aware Design

Good design makes business sense. I think in outcomes and metrics, not just screens and aesthetics.

Globally Fluent

Having designed across India, Canada, Ireland, and Hong Kong, I've learned that 'intuitive' is a culturally specific word.

Professional Timeline

How I Got Here

From curious beginner to design leader.

  1. 2020

    Started Freelancing

Began taking on graphic and UI design while still in school. First client. First real feedback. First lesson: what looks good in isolation fails when real people use it.

  2. 2021

    UPES Dehradun, B.Des Interaction Design

Formal study begins. Discovered the difference between making things pretty and making things work. First exposure to research methodology, heuristic evaluation, and information architecture.

  3. 2023

    Gem Centre, Hong Kong

First international client. Designed a 15-page e-commerce website for a premium jewellery brand. Learned that cultural context changes everything — including what 'premium' means to a user.

  4. 2023–2024

    Consulting + Design in Parallel

Led a 40-person team as Business Consultant at Evoke while simultaneously taking on UX roles across SpacECE, Digital Dose, and Excel in Language. Design without business thinking is incomplete.

  5. 2024

    Roamer, Genderverse, Wealthery

Three major self-initiated and academic projects. End-to-end: research, wireframing, hi-fi, usability testing. Each project added a new domain — travel, social impact, fintech.

  6. 2025

    Canada, Ireland, Full-Time at Prakria

Remote internships for Synapses Medical (Canada) and Garnet (Ireland). 50+ user interviews. Full app delivery. UX research roadmap. Then joined Prakria: 15 live projects, 2-month delivery cycles, 100+ component design system.

Beyond the Screen

Design is my work. Not all of me.

I cook because constraints make you creative. I dance because rhythm and flow matter in movement and in UX. I make resin art because patience and layering produce the most beautiful results. Everything I do outside design feeds back into how I design. That's not a coincidence — that's the point.
