✦ Skills & Expertise
Tools are the last thing I think about.
I design with empathy and logic first. The software is just where I execute.
"A good craftsman knows their tools deeply. A great one knows when not to use them."
Core Competency
UX Research
Research is where design begins for me — not in Figma, not in a brief, but in conversation. I've conducted 50+ structured user interviews across healthcare, fintech, travel, and social impact. I know how to design a research plan, recruit the right participants, run sessions without leading the witness, and synthesise messy qualitative data into design decisions a team can act on.

Core Competency
Product & Interaction Design
I design end-to-end: from the first whiteboard sketch to the final handoff spec. I've shipped complete design systems, designed for iOS and Apple Watch simultaneously, navigated tight 2-month delivery cycles across 15 live projects, and built interfaces for users ranging from first-time investors to medical professionals navigating complex systems. Every screen I design is traceable back to a research finding.

Specialist Skill
Design Systems
At Prakria I built and maintained a design system used across 8 client projects simultaneously. I consolidated 47 button variants into one systematic approach. I wrote the documentation, defined the naming conventions, created the token structure, and made sure the engineers could actually implement what I designed. A design system is only as good as its adoption — I've learned how to build one that people actually use.

Supporting Strength
Visual & UI Design
I have a strong visual eye developed through years of graphic design before I transitioned fully to UX. I understand typography, colour theory, spatial hierarchy, and compositional tension. At Prakria this meant working across corporate, editorial, e-commerce, and consumer digital — each requiring a completely different visual vocabulary. I never default to the same aesthetic twice.

Beyond the Hard Skills
The capabilities no tool teaches you.
01
Asking the Right Questions
I can walk into a client brief and immediately identify what question is actually being asked versus what question was written down. Most briefs describe a symptom. My job is to find the disease.
02
Delivering Uncomfortable Truths
When research contradicts what a client wants to build, I say so clearly — with the data to back it up. I've learned how to deliver a 'no' in a way that builds trust instead of losing a client.
03
Cross-Cultural Design Fluency
Having designed for clients in India, Canada, Ireland, and Hong Kong, I understand that 'intuitive' means different things to different users. I design for the actual person, not an imagined universal user.
04
Communication Across Disciplines
I can talk to engineers in their language and to stakeholders in theirs. I write documentation that developers actually use. I present research in ways that move non-designers to act.
05
Systems Thinking
I zoom out before I zoom in. Every screen exists inside a flow, inside a product, inside a business context. I design for the system, not just the moment.
06
Speed Without Sacrificing Standards
At Prakria I learned to move fast without making cheap decisions. 2-month delivery cycles on complex projects taught me to identify what actually needs perfecting and what needs to be good enough and shipped.
✦ The Through-Line
"Every soft skill above traces back to one habit: listening longer than feels comfortable."
On the Horizon
What I'm actively building into my practice.
In Progress
Motion Design & Micro-interactions
Moving beyond static UI into purposeful animation. Learning After Effects and Rive for interaction design that communicates state changes without words.
In Progress
AI-Assisted UX Research
Exploring how AI tools accelerate synthesis without replacing empathy. Building a personal workflow that uses AI for pattern recognition in large interview datasets.
In Progress
Accessibility-First Design
Deepening my WCAG knowledge beyond compliance into genuine inclusive design. Every project I take on in 2026 has accessibility as a design constraint, not a checklist.
