Research is where design begins for me, not in Figma, not in a brief, but in conversation. I've conducted 50+ structured user interviews across healthcare, fintech, travel, and social impact. I know how to design a research plan, recruit the right participants, run sessions without leading the witness, and synthesise messy qualitative data into design decisions a team can act on.

Design Systems
At Prakria I built and maintained a design system used across 8 client projects simultaneously. I consolidated 47 button variants into one systematic approach. I wrote the documentation, defined the naming conventions, created the token structure, and made sure the engineers could actually implement what I designed. A design system is only as good as its adoption, I've learned how to build one that people actually use.

SEO, Content Writing & Marketing
Every website I've delivered needed words before it needed pixels, so I write them, and I build the search structure that gets them read. On New Public College I owned the information architecture, the on-page SEO, and all ~4,000 words of site copy. I work the way I research: one search intent per page, keyword clusters instead of keyword lists, plain language instead of institutional vocabulary, and internal links that always point somewhere useful. Across 15 Prakria websites, content writing was part of the job on nearly every brief.

Frontend Development
I don't stop at the Figma file. I build the websites I design, so what launches is what was agreed on. I write clean, semantic markup, keep layouts responsive on every screen size, and set things up so content and SEO can grow without a rebuild. Being able to code also makes me a better designer: I know what is cheap, what is expensive, and what will break.

Asking the Right Questions
I can walk into a client brief and immediately identify what question is actually being asked versus what question was written down. Most briefs describe a symptom. My job is to find the disease.

Delivering Uncomfortable Truths
When research contradicts what a client wants to build, I say so clearly, with the data to back it up. I've learned how to deliver a 'no' in a way that builds trust instead of losing a client.

Having designed for clients in India, Canada, Ireland, and Hong Kong, I understand that 'intuitive' means different things to different users. I design for the actual person, not an imagined universal user.
