A self-initiated organic-search growth strategy for a fictional D2C wellness brand — keyword architecture, content clusters, and the landing pages to hold them.

01The Premise
Read this first

Grovia is not a client. It is a self-initiated concept project I built to practise and demonstrate SEO and content strategy end-to-end. The brand, the numbers and the screens are invented; the method is exactly what I apply to real work like New Public College.

Paid traffic rented. Search compounds.

The invented brief: a D2C wellness brand spends everything on performance ads, has no organic surface, and stops existing the moment the ad budget pauses. Classic, and extremely common.

I treated it as a UX problem with a search layer: what are people actually trying to learn before they buy, and what pages should exist to answer that — in an order that builds authority instead of scattering it.

02Keyword Architecture

Clusters, not keyword lists.

Concept visualisation — keyword clusters and the growth model they're designed to produce

A flat keyword list produces a flat site. I grouped demand into intent clusters — one pillar page per cluster, supporting articles beneath it, all internally linked toward a commercial page. That structure is what lets a small brand outrank a bigger one in a narrow space.

03Content System

Briefs a writer can't misread.

01
One intent per URL

Every page in the system has a single job and a single primary phrase family. No two pages compete — the fastest fix in most content libraries.

02
Answer-first structure

The answer sits in the first 60 words, then the depth. Written for a reader who is scanning and a crawler that is summarising.

03
Evidence over adjectives

Wellness copy drowns in adjectives. Each claim in the system has to attach to a mechanism, a source, or it gets cut.

04
Internal link rules

Support articles always link up to their pillar and across to one commercial page. Authority flows in one direction on purpose.

05
Refresh cadence

Content is a product, not a launch. Every pillar gets a quarterly review against live search behaviour.

06
Measurement

Impressions before clicks, clicks before revenue. Reading the funnel in that order keeps the strategy honest early on.

Scope

Concept project. No live traffic, no client, no performance claims — the deliverable is the strategy and the writing system, which is the part that transfers.

05Reflection

Why I built this on my own time.

To practise the method, not fake results

Anyone can quote a ranking chart. Building the keyword architecture and the briefs is the skill that survives a job interview.

SEO and UX are one discipline

Search intent is user need with a search volume attached. The same research muscle answers both.

Writing is the bottleneck

Strategy is cheap; 18 usable briefs are not. Doing the writing is what taught me what's actually shippable.

"A concept project is honest practice. It shows how I think, without pretending it shows what I earned."
